funkybeatsParticipantAmbient mainly, I find it incredibly relaxing to make Ambient stuff, even if other people do not like it
AdSense 336x280September 28, 2007 at 5:04 pm #634393
otgParticipantI make self-indulgent progressive house / trance / breaks tunes. Some people like them. Some people don’t. Some people say they’re too long. I don’t care, it’s my aural onanism.

nicoleParticipantI’m just starting out. I will make anything that makes me feel good and expand my creativity.
It’s not a good thing for me to want to produce one style. I just want to enjoy what I make.

i imagine something like whose music is self-described as romanian folk inspired..? the words "core" would be surely acctepted by her label, just "8bit" and "blip" leaves room for speculations..
OT
if somebodys looks, check out (if she isn’t already known in the whole world..) "Give me the food", funny track though I’d simply call it dancehall..[/quote:1ec9cin3]
You know…i was somewhat half-heartedly joking….but if i ever do get into bulgarian folk music i WILL add 8-bit blipcore around it to make a genre up like that..NME wouldn’t know what the hell to do with it!
So, on a serious note.
IDM
Classical (written out by hand, performed by small quartets, one day an orchestra)
Jazzstep DnB
Ambient
Soundscapes.and the occasional house or breakbeat number.

808_musicParticipantAlthough I’m still new to remixing/composing music, I do prefer making hip hop beats and house.

JuggernautParticipant[quote quote="MrBishi":2ggqkrfo]whats french house?
chateaux?[/quote:2ggqkrfo]
Houses….in french.
Chateau (singular)….and that would be saying "House"……in French
if i’m wrong, french house is more or less what electro house is. (is that where all the sidechaining malarky comes from?)
take that with a handful of salt…been out of the ‘house’ loop for a while and the last time i spoke to someone about french house it was too loud…house wasn’t actually being played out…and i can’t remember much of the conversation

Check out ‘Thousand’ by Moby (circa 1993)… over 1000 bpm in parts, hence the name. Now that’s fast.

AdSense 336x280October 15, 2007 at 5:24 pm #635229
tuskface9Participanti never know how to answer this question. i feel like i sound like an idiot when i throw out mad genres, but then again whats wrong with being eclectic? i just create different aliases for myself to fit each style i do. my main work focuses on hip hop, IDM and glitch. one is for jazz and funk, another for ambient rock, one is for balls to the walls DnB and one for classical.

KaneTrollParticipantAnything that contains Metal, Punk or Hardcore (not the dance kind) Heavy Alternative I guess covers it all, but then mixing it with Hip-Hop, Rap and CRUNK!!! To make my mash-ups/blends different and stand out somehow I’m working towards mixing in some wrestling comentary/sounds to create…*ahem* WRESTLECORE!
awww, when I read one of you made metal polka I got really excited, was hoping to hear something like Mr. Bungle or Dog Fashion Disco, but then I realised you where joking
