zerostarParticipantThe knockout tip is kickass! Thank you!
Still difficult to get everything just right though… had to resort to some "drowning out" on a few tracks. Oh well, its going much better than it was! =)

I think the phase invert method will work perfectly if you have the right audiofiles..

acheadKeymasterMan you guys are good at this stuff. I recently started playing with these programs and I wanna thank all you guys for your inputs, and I just got on the this site not too long ago and I`ve tested out these approaches and tested some of these theories and although some of them don`t work (kinda) (or maybe Im doing it wrong) I appreciate the info in these forums…thanks you all!

AdSense 336x280June 29, 2007 at 1:43 am #627419
staticParticipanti have a old skool freq killer. but you need to run through sound forge to kill the high ticks

Jacks WaxParticipantI’ve read some post stating how different methods work or don’t work.
Different songs will require different methods…..because one method worked great with one song doesn’t mean it will work just as well with another.
Different factors ie. stereo image/positioning of the instruments within the track will determin what method works best.
As mentioned before…Method 1 using phase inversion or taking it 180 degrees out of phase tends to work best if you have the original studio released wav’s of the track and instrumental. Most MP3 encoding changes all sorts including length and level making it very difficult to line them up perfectly.
AdSense 336x280July 4, 2007 at 10:22 pm #628044
acheadKeymasterdefinitely sounds great…
and I hope its followed as rule of law
because some of the acapella’s are extracted horribly up here..
either some high instrumental is left
or adlibbed vocals are extracted as well..and that is absolutely no goodAdSense 336x280July 6, 2007 at 2:17 am #628167
whitusParticipantthanks yo..i can’t belive it but it worked flawlessly for me
