TubbyParticipantI am a huge Lee Perry & King Tubby fan. I mainly love the 70’s reggae/dub, before everything went digital… Ragga and dancehall never really did it for me.
And cool site mr. StepWise!AdSense 336x280March 21, 2006 at 6:31 pm #587054

Good to see some reggae head up in here! Keep an eye on the ‘recent’ acapellas on this site — i just uploaded 4-5 new reggae pellas that are crucial! Wicked Turbo Belly and Capleton!

diamondgeezerParticipantGreetings!
Whats everyones opinions on the rise of the new breed of conscious / culture singers in reggae – Fantan Mojah, Gyption, QQ etc…
I think it can only be a good thing, long time slackness and guntalk has been incharge!
AdSense 336x280April 3, 2006 at 1:47 pm #587796
chineybutuParticipantfantan Mojah tuff still
but i think seh Gyptian and Turbulance and richie spice a guh run tings!
Look out for Feelings riddims, Herbal essence and Driff going be madd!AdSense 336x280April 4, 2006 at 1:59 pm #587833
diamondgeezerParticipantI rate Turbulence and agree that if goes on at the rate he is at the moment he’s gonna run the scene – have you heard the track ‘No We No Scared’ on the re-licked Sick Riddim – HEAVY!
Whats your thought on Perfect and Little Hero? Ah big man dat!
AdSense 336x280April 4, 2006 at 9:20 pm #587852
eikcamlloydParticipantThe whole reggae scene has come a long way thanks to the dancehall kings
bogle/hype
elephant man/beenie man etc
AdSense 336x280April 5, 2006 at 1:29 am #587868
chineybutuParticipantye man, a true dat, all Sean Paul bring dancehall to a next level, long side ele, las friday i did playout, and da crowd was majority caribbean people, but i did have quite a few ‘white people’ non-caribbean, and when i was a drop big tune dem like: gyptian, turbulance, Busy, Idonia Kartel, Buju, dem nah feel it, but wen i drop sean Paul, dem dance up, cah dem know it, so thanks to Sean Nuff "non-caribbean people" now enjoys Dancehall
But the King Was Bob Marley

Can anyone here recommend some tracks like these? I find there’re so many 45s being released I don’t even know where to start looking!
STEPWISE, I went to your website & MySpace – so you lived here in Melbourne for a while yeah? I’ve just moved here myself and am surprised to see how healthy the Dancehall scene is! Jesse I and the Chantdown crew have got things on lock!
Anyway, it’d be great to hear some more of your remixes.Peace,

Dunno how true that is though.
Cheers for the tips! I’ll try and track them down.
