One of my other bests be pac when he said in the song "When Thugs Cry":
"Come take my body God don’t let me suffer any longer, smoke a pound a marijuana so I know it ain’t long"

djdyvurseParticipantMy favorite is this Rakim Line: "I start to think/and thenb I sink into the paper/ like I was ink/ as I’m writin’ I’m trapped in between the lines I escape/ When I finish the rhyme"

bassiststeveoParticipantThe Beastie Boys:
"I stole your honey like I stole your bike"
I like the immaturity and the goofy vibe the Beasties have. It’s a healthy contrast to rappers who are too serious.

brapkoParticipantYellow green red white blue, and my new jaw
Check out the paint, same colors cover my new car
When it come to getting fed, I’m the baker with the bread
Know exactly what they said, voices ain’t just in my head
Get back up in the streets, so the ors can be
Cause I’m the rapper that they dread, like Lil’ Wayne’s head
Bumba claat watch, now watch me I’m the one to watch
One with a lot of colored cubes, and a bunch of blocks
And the watch, and them s that be coming out
The closet with a friend, meet her I just wanna watch
Chamillion-ator’s on the way, that’s who saving the day
After the math I bust a rhyme, rapping after you pay
Niggaz say they songs jamming, yeah that’s just what they say
Like Part 2 of that Kelly song, they end up beingChamillionaire Mayne…
look him up if ya never heard of him
"Chamillionaire"AdSense 336x280March 24, 2006 at 10:00 pm #587273

I agree, the complete licensed to ill album is classic hiphop to me. Also the RunDmc raps are good, but I guess to go back to (my) hiphop roots, I must say the complete Rapper’s Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang! What classic lines, fine timing (damn why doesn’t anybody flow like that anymore… it rocks) and a laugh in there as well…
I know there’s been lots of stuff since then, I like almost anything by the beasties, Dr. Dre rules production & beat wise, Snoop every now and then… but I miss the fun and can’t get too excited by those gangster pimp 50 cent style bitches rappers that think that money is da shit… too much of it I think! (and on a lighter note I kinda like Die Fantastischen Vier (german) and Dutch Maestro Extince)…
hmmm… I’m beginning to fear this post is too long and isn’t making sense anymore…
ok, Rapper’s Delight it is! (for today

Here’s another one for you..
"Your pop caught you smoking and he said, No way
That hypocrite smokes two packs a day
Man living at home is such a drag
Now your mom threw away your best porno mag"AdSense 336x280March 26, 2006 at 11:35 pm #587424
DJ Sho-TymeParticipantyo…mine would be form eminems song bad influence, just how it sounds with the music and the rhymes involved.
"….my laser disc will make you take a razor to your wrist, make you satanistic make you take a pistol to your face and place the clip and cock it back and let it go until your brains are rippin out your skull so bad to sew you back would be a waste of stitches"

angelinterceptorParticipantName that song and win a prize:
"Strippers and the vicars in the back
First man cracked
Jump on the main line track and
I take a little bit of pay, okay
And the beat of the big trombone"No Googling.

djmagnetParticipanthow about DMC’s "the turntables might wobble but they don’t fall down".
Overall, my favorite song lyrically has to be I’m Just Raw by Lyrics Born, most clever dis song, with such gems as:
"I’m sorry mate
this is awkward, k
little hard to say
so I’ll just say it
me & your mommy date
she’s awfully great
she’s a saucy dame
always wants to meet on her coffee breaks
she bought me seats to Bonnie Raitt""Shut your trap and get back in the back seat of the Camry"
"Talking Sly Stallone in Rocky vs. Sly Stallone in Copman
Judge Judy vs. Johnny Cochran
Oh man, Nell Carter vs. Karen Carpenter topless""I’m hotter than you, more popular than you, more clever than you
and gosh darnit people like me" (great Stuart Smalley from Saturday Night Live reference)Buy his albums!
