djshadesukParticipantThe beginnings of my latest offering:
I’ve always loved the I’ll Fly With You lyrics (The Scott Brown version reminds me of a once special someone I converted to Hardcore) so I thought I’d give it a go. For this effort I’ve deviated from my usual "Faster is Better" style and given it a slower (120 BPM, the original is 138 BPM) Trance(y) twist! I’ve also tried to make it a little more ‘musical’ than my usual stuff too, if that’s worked or not I’ll leave up to you to decide!

This is still very much a WIP.
As always all feedback (good or bad) is appreciated!
EDIT: Link (above) now fixed!
EDIT2: I couldn’t help myself… Just out of curiousity I decided to speed the above MP3 up by 25% (I said I like things fast! Well, not all things! LOL). Anyway, slap me with a fish and call me Roger… For ages that modern hardcore ‘sound’ has evaded me and everytime I’ve tried it it’s never quite sounded right… until now! Who would have thunked it! It seems I’ve discovered my own personal technique for writing Hardcore tracks… Compose it slow, play it fast!
Take a listen:

djshadesukParticipantHey DB.
I’ve sorted the link now (I managed to miss off most of the stupid, cryptic URL! Doh)

djshadesukParticipantI’ve just updated the track (there’s actually more to it now than just the extremely long intro!! LOL)… Just follow the link at the top

djshadesukParticipantMoved this thread into the House section, as the OTHERS test pressing section doesn’t seem to get a lot of visitors… If anyone moans about Trance/Hardcore being in the House section… tough!
There must be someone on here who likes Trance/Hardcore??! (Bump? What does that mean?

matmoo_kParticipantniceley done shades! am prefering the hardcore mix atm. only listening to it on lowly laptop speakers so will need to shift it over to my music pc to give it a ‘proper’ listen. respect for tackling this though. quite a hard acapella to match up methinks. in parts anyway. this could be because i’m a bit lazy LOL

blockiddParticipantboth tracks are nice….i like the faster one more, but i was wondering if there is anyway you can combine the two tracks. remember this is just my opinion here, how about beginning with the slower one and then gradually increasing the tempo until you get to the main of the faster track. i think that would sound sweet.

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantHey, would this new composition technique be what you have previously referred to as a ‘happy accident’!

I lost interest in the hardcore thing quite some time ago but would certainly have put
a copy of this in my collection!
I dont suppose the ‘Silk Cuts’ label is still about is it? U could be on to a deal!
