bigmozParticipantI primarily do hiphop remixes. Typically, acapellas for hiphop get released soon after a single. They’re released on vinyl and hit the internet pretty quickly. But when I look for specific trance acapellas, I can never find them.
I go to beatport and try to find acapellas from Tiesto songs or Dash Berlin and nothing comes up. Is there a reason for this? Why don’t sites like Beatport sell the acepallas as well as the remixes? Are acapellas not as available on vinyl for trance?
Thanks for any kind of response

Minchiafede90ParticipantLady gaga and cascada are not trance

I guess the reason is that not-hip-hop musicians and singers want their hit remixed by great producers or simply get payed for acapellas. I asked once to Universal for some t.a.t.u. acapellas and for "Fashionista" ‘s one, they said I had to pay and buy them.

Heya,
I have to agree. I’m doing trance tracks too and haven’t really found any usable acapellas from this genre… I’d love to see some change aswell!

As in, were Universal saying they were available and they pointed you to a download service OR (more likely) they were prepared to provide an ad-hoc service for you at a cost?

DJAsHeRParticipantThe thing is you can take like pop music accapellas and turn them into trance very easy or use part as a loop can change the sound of it to with the right programs. At the end of the day there really is not a market for just ‘trance’ or just ‘techno’ accapellas and if you took all the synth away it would probley sound like a pop song lol

DJAsHeRParticipantOh also if you can get a fairly decent mic, a program to record and you can keep the pitch of the voice (you can suck at singing just got to be able to keep in key) you can make your own vocals very easy. Amazing what putting your voice into a synthasizer can do lol

DJAsHeR wrote:if you took all the synth away it would probley sound like a pop song lolAlso not a bad point.

RyujiParticipantMostly because the trance community is closed when it comes to spreading their content unless you’re an established artist or you’re on a remix job.
Usually artists share dry vocals with each other and keep it at that, but using DIY vocals or sampling from non-trance vocals is also common and allowed as long as you don’t profit from it (without the consent of the copyright owner).AdSense 336x280July 6, 2012 at 5:49 pm #693636
madeofneonParticipantOn here there are some good ones… you just have to look pretty hard to find them. Two good ones are Ascension – Someone and OceanLab – Satellite also theres some Gabriel & Dresden on here. Good luck!

MC240384ParticipantGetting a vocalist to record a completely new acapella for the trance track itself I would of thought is the most favourable option amongst trance producers as the same goes with house producers frequently. If it doesn’t have the right style towards trance then it just does not cut it imo unless your looking to do a cheesy bootleg which is nothing really new and exciting these days unless its done cleverly.
