After being inspired by the really popular post in the General forum I’ve decided to go one stage further and actually use some rather clever free online tools to obtain actual aerial photographs to actually reveal a bird’s eye view of your home! – how cool is that?

Anyway, below is a thumbnail of my house from an aerial view:

PLEASE USE THE IMAGESHACK HOSTING FEATURE THAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU POST A REPLY to link to your images.

To get the imagery in the first place try which is all online and gives you the opportunity to use Microsoft’s Live Maps or Google’s Earth.

I heard about Live Maps project on the which is a UK programme on Five which I watch religiously. Jason Bradbury, Suzi Perry & Mr ‘ahh’ Bentley (what a trio)

Hey great topic!

Heres my place – Circled in [color color=red:dtosmbj8]red[/color:dtosmbj8]

Great place to live (although I am somewhat biased). Small & quiet Sydney suburb that is also close to the city. To the bottom left is my local oval which I have had some awesome memories playing there and still spend alot of time up there today as sport is a bit part of my life.

Thanks for the tip Anisina.
My house is the one marked with the red X also I’ve outlined my boundry with red. I’ve a much bigger garden than the others which I marked in yellow. Can you also see my very own forest that I overlook , The bird life is fantastic here, I’m up between 4.30am & 5am every day in summer sitting out on my patio just listening to the birds. Best time of the day is dawn, just sitting and listening to the earth awake.

Here’s my house(one with big red square round it)

It’s an older arial view as I now have an extension on the house. Only really lived here for a year now.

If you were to zoom out and look to the left you would see a superb view of…

The BP Oil Refinery! lol

this is all very usefull,….

i go to the "photos of your setup" forum, get an idea of what equipment you all have, then go on here and find where u live.
burgular friendly websites, whatever next!! lol

may i suggest a "post a pic of your home security" forum?

Welcome to the Taj. Best views in Wellington no doubt. On the right there you can see Devon st: the most challenging street in Wellington driving. It has about five blind corners and about a billion degree incline. Now that Colin McRae is gone I’m the world’s #1 Devon st driver.

@ V.V – you can pretty much disregard my place if you’re looking for something to nick. My stereo has just today decided it doesn’t need a right channel anymore, and my computer’s policy on efficiency is up there with the DMV
