DJThuhtParticipantI just discovered this genere, some of the songs I like, some I don’t…
Anyway, what do you think are the quintessential happy hardcore tracks? I saw this guy (DJ Ravine) playing some on youtube, pretty sick.AdSense 336x280July 6, 2007 at 5:17 am #628175

vice versesParticipantwhat springs to mind are chavvy types driving sooped up novas etc whizzing round the town centre with their windows down. all wearing caps (essential)
or teenagers listening to happy hardcore on loop from their mobile phone whilst stood around shops. geeesh!i remember from my teenage days when my friends used to listen to it….
there was this song, and i swear the lyrics went something like,,,"fred west gone west think its for the fucking best" all to the sped up beat.
need i say more.

JuggernautParticipantSuper bright vibrant colours, bang bang bang bang, the odd chav…lots of water bottles, happy happy happy…bit sweaty..
oh…
Jynx has it pretty much covered. Bonkers is definately a good place to start and it’s unfortunate that there is this undertone created by our ‘fantastic’ chav culture (i say ‘our’ like i’m british or something…..heh).
It’s not something you’ll be into for a long time as in life you will start to appreciate things at a slower level..
unless your an adrenaline junkie

Def. Con. OneParticipantIt’s been years but i remember a mix of happy hardcore by dj slipmatt and it was a little irritating at first. Then i started to get into it. You had to go with the vibe to appreciate it.
Slipmatt (Matt Nelson) doesn’t just do 1 or 2 styles, he does a large variety of music for people to enjoy themselves and let go, after a busy day using their employers internet access, to tell their friends it’s been such an hard day at work.
Happy hardcore to me = uplifting music with a fast tempo and lots of energetic people with glow sticks and other fluro related stuff.
