djvip0104ParticipantI have always used acid on my windows laptop but its so long because all my music is on my mac. I just want a programme that has an interface similar to acid and can beat match accapellas accurately. any suggestions guys?

noddynoodleParticipantA lot of people get Macs simply for Logic Pro, so maybe that’s the solution? :p I’ve not used it myself, and I’ve only barely tried Acid so can’t say if the UI’s are the same, unfortunately.

acheadKeymasterYou can try Ableton Live ( most used ) or Audacity ( a simply freeware, but do the job ) .

StomperParticipantThere are many softwares with similer look to Acid, but i have not seen one with beat match or anything similer.
Cubase has hitpoints and i know logic has something similer, but it doesnt work the same way as Acid and needs much more work for the same result.
Im not too fimilier with Ableton Live, but as far as i know you can make it work like a standard DAW and i think it would be the closest thing to Acid beat match.Stomper.

thebeatmarketParticipantI use Ableton Live 8 (Full Version)
You can stretch the audio and make things that shouldn’t go together gel perfectly. The Lite version does let you stretch but it can get more grainy. The full version has a "pro" stretch that uses more processing power, but has far better sound.AdSense 336x280February 19, 2011 at 4:22 pm #685838
DJAceFlexParticipantif ableton worked on my computer, i’d be using that but since it doesn’t i usually just spin tracks in VDJ, beatmatch there, re-record the track with new tempo and throw them into logic.

gwattParticipantI use Ableton Live, Mixed In Key (to get BPM and Key info), Adobe Audition (instead of audacity for simple WAV editing)
Logic Pro is for making your own music. I have noticed Ableton changes the sound of even pure WAV file music etc.

SpankPatrolParticipantAbleton Live, Studio One, Reason 6, Mixtrack Pro, etc. etc.you can even do it in Garageband with a bit of effort, but my vote goes on Logic Pro.

theslagParticipantUsing Logic’s flex time, it’s really easy. Also the time and pitch adjuster is very pro.
