DJ MaztecParticipanthousefly88 wrote:[quote quote="7hugLife":1dxl7quj]housefly88 how much did all that cost? if you don’t mind me askin. To be honest it was fairly cheap. I didnt buy a single thing new. all of it was purchased used. Even my G4 was used. To give you an example the JP8080 I got for less than $300 USD. I think I paid $150 USD for the Novation Bass Station. I just figure out what I want and then sit around untill a cheap enough one cames along. I use mostly hardware because I was to lazy to learn Reason. But its not much different from what I have seen.[/quote:1dxl7quj]
wot a good looking setup, love it.

Have you had anyproblems with the audio not being "released" when using the asio drivers?!
It drives me nuts!!!

Drumstix71Participantpro equipment means nothing.
"put a 2 yr old behind the wheel of a galardo and see how slow they go"
Ok thats my own stupid quote, hopefully someone will quote me one day and then i’ll be famous
… the point is that all software and hardware in the world cannot replace talent and experience. I remember making recordings with my sisters old hi-fi. It could record through a small mic on the front panel of the hi-fi set. I would record some guitar (to TAPE!) then play that recording back through another tape player that i positioned as close to the mic of the hi-fi as possible while recording the vocals into the hi-fi mic! HAHA. You can imagine all the noise as each layer was added. I would detune my classical guitar to add bass and hit some tins and boxes to make drums. I actually had some really cool recordings – – – NOT!
This was more than 20 years ago!
Use what you have, learn to use it and squeeze the best sound out of it. Learn to manipulate sound to suit your taste. Then, as your equipment gets better, you start having to do less and less to get better results.
IMHO…
