VOCAL EXTRACTION METHODS

Thanks..now I can ttry making some acapellas of my own of some tracks I been trying to find for a minute…let you know how it goes…

Thanks for the methods, will try phase cancellatipn method right away….anyone knows if the tool "Invert" in Logic Pro is the one to use in order to invert the phase?

Dis thread has realy helped me, but I still don’t know how to fully do this invert/flipping thing. Is it possible to do this on virtual DJ, or do you have to use sony acid pro? Thanks.

Can you please explain further anyone the knock out method.
I have used the phase inversion which works, but without the instumental i am a little lost with creating acapellas.

Is not always possible to erase all frequences that you want…beacause not al frequences are recorded on a different track each one

I can never get the phasing method to work it jus sounds extra messed up

HMMM….DIDN"T WORK!!! I am currently using wavelab essential and I’m inverting the instrumental and then mixing it into the vocal version and…..NOTHING! I still hear the vocal with a little flange effect to the muisc….HELP!!!!!!!

You haven’t lined them up right. See the warbeats tutorial:

This tutorial shows what happens when they aren’t lined up right. It is the same effect that you described.

i tried phase cancellation with what i thought was good quality mp3s but no deal. especially not if ripped from vinyl.

the knockout plugin was much better though…which i assume does phase cancellation plus more.

Unfortunately it’s very much things that needs to fit
The Instrumental have to be in the exact same volume and exact same length as the original version with vocals
Many producers make the instrumental different with a few small changes (in length or variation)
to avoid acapella extractions
Downloaded files will mostly not work since the quality probably are different
Own cdm rips always work if everything matches
Outta my 122 cdm’s it have been two extractions that have turned out perfect, hehe[/b:3juykzqg]

I’ve never made this work perfectly, but it have turned out better this way than most other extraction methods[/b:3juykzqg]
