pyrotekParticipantThis song was made for house. The first time i heard it i knew.
https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/99892/Viva% … nished.mp3For the acapella, i used a VST called voicetrap. It basically isolates the center instead of removing it, and you can change things like high and low pass and center width.
Constructive criticism please?
As a bonus, here is my futurama theme remix too:

chillerzParticipantHad a good listen, but the DIY acapella does not sound that clean after all. It’s like a filter or flanger is over the voice.
But you are correct in that it deserves a good house remix. Nice try.

pyrotekParticipantWell since an acapella wasn’t available i used a VST called voicetrap which basically isolates the center of the recording. This is basically the best quality i could get out of the song.

Reggie_p75ParticipantVoicetrap is an ok program but some acapellas come out a bit too R2D2 n Cybermen for me.. Hollow sounding, which might just be perfect for wot u wanna do or just a waste of ur precious music time..
I spent a good few hrs doing DIY acapellas when i laid my hands on it n found that it worked good on stuff that isn’t ‘over-produced’ like nearly 90% of the stuff nowadays.. so no point in trying to rip Rihanna or similar stuff…
However, try lifting some acapellas from pre-80s music n u can get some good stuff.. Try it on tracks with hard panned instruments n EQ it n u can get a good workable acapella…
Im still deciding on wot I can do with a 90% 5hit hot acapella of Rod Stewart’s Maggie May
