I would go for XP. But I know this thread is 3 years ago and Vista is getting better now as now SP2 is already released. But I would recommend Windows 7 which is much much better than Vista or XP

I dunno why everyone hates Vista. I have it now for several years and well… I can’t understand those "haters"… Of course it’s no comparison to linux and eats ressources like a hungry bear but in my opinion the control panel and the admin management is much better and easier than in XP…
