do video cards have a big impact on the softwares like Cubase , Sonar and Pro Tools
i have just a basic 64 mb card on my laptop, and i have been having trouble with even the simplest projects when i zoom in to the project to quick it cause’s cubase to crash.
my questions are
what sort of card run these softwares smooth 128 or 256mb cards (what is needed)
or has it nothing to do with the video card. is it my ram cpu that cannot keep up
i have 2 gig ram & p4 3.2 gig is that enough.
if anyone has any feed back please post.

It’s probably WAY too late, but I doubt it would be your video card, unless you’ve got something pretty old. But judging by the rest of the specs you gave, it’s probably fine. It might have been an issue with your RAM, maybe a stick was failing. Could have been CPU too. Like I said, I’m sure this reply is way too late. But if you are still curious, maybe we can find out what the problem was!
