Uploading standards – WTF?

Probably people looking for a quick credit.

Like this guy who apparently uploaded 22 acapellas in a week. This made me laugh.

I hope people take this seriously.

There are a lot of members on this site now. Think if over a week period of time, a thousand members upload 5 acapellas apeice and half of them didnt even bother to read the rules on uploading. I can see how this could quickly turn into a nightmare.

well i aint ever uploaded so it aint me. mind when credits are desperate people take desperate and sad measures for there benefit.

I’ll admit I’d uploaded a file but this was a while back. Don’t think I didn’t receive the credit for it though.

Mate, unfortunately NOONE is going to do that voluntarily (ie. for free), it is a full time job in itself!!!!

The two biggest problems I see……

1) People changing the spellings or reversing artists names to add an acapella thats already up.

Like uploading 50 cent In THE club when In DA club is already posted.

Or adding a song as Akon featuring T-Pain when its already been posted as T-Pain featuring Akon.

Also posting a Clean version of songs that are already up, even tho they aren’t labeled as clean.

Finally, the newest thing I’ve seen is people time stretching acapellas and calling them "——- ——- ——- 125bpm"

2) People putting up awful DIY acapellas

Obviously, I don’t want to sound mad. I realize maybe some people are new to it, and putting forth their best effort. However, there has to be some standard for a DIY to go up. Again, I realize everyone has different levels of what they expect from a DIY, and maybe people have some use for ones that aren’t too great. But there is a point where some just shouldnt be posted.

I know its impossible to check every pella before it goes on the server, but maybe people should lose credits or something the next time they post another version of 50 cent In Da Club.

im not to good with computers yet just graduated to dj in with them this is a whole new outlett for me believe me i got stuff you dont have im not trying to get blocked cause of me not uploading/ wrong or giving you something you already have i love acapellas4u.co.uk .. give me chance just a oldschooldude who loves music and creating new stuff /.,.l;peace my friend/

Wow, sorry you feel that way, but dont worry, your not gonna get banned for sharing an opinion.
As Jef Peace mentions, there usually is a reason why they are rejected, jayspring mentions a bunch
of errors that are in our database despite how strict the upload system is.
Imagine how messy it could get if we RELAXED our upload rules!!!
Ive uploaded nearly 50 pella’s and only had 1 rejected (again for a naming issue)

Regarding the forums, Im not gonna claim their perfect but they are kept very clean and tidy.
Every rule has a reason behind it which has been discussed and if anyones interested
in the reasoning you should be able to find the posts using the forum’s
Ive certainly been to a lot worse forums where you have to scroll through so much
garbage and spam to find an intelligent post.

Any chance you can get the comment function back online? I want to report the hot chip file which is in no way an acapella.

I’ve got a full total of 8 unused bonus downloads and haven’t downloaded anything from here in the last few days, and just recently contributed with some japanese acapellas. (DIY, naturally.)

I don’t believe my contribution to the library would fall into the category. I would like to point out, however, the DJ Tools section seems to be one of the most unorganized sections ever. Might want to consider someone to actually check for those samples in there. (People could be uploading content found on commercial sample libraries..)

i’ve only uploaded a couple of accas, me and my friend, so i know i dont fall under any of the spelling or reversing because we’re the only ones who actally have those acca(well, not anymore)

but it is true, and the whole in da\the\tha club thing is annoying as crap
