acapellaKeymasterJust a quicky to say that my fiancee and I went to the phoenix centre @ Exeter on Monday night and thoroughly enjoyed an entirely flawless 2hr performance from these likeable lads!
The missus turned me on (to the music) to them about 2 years ago and I wouldn’t say it was my preferred style of listening but I don’t mind the odd track by them, I’m sure anyone who remembers the name ‘Turin Brakes’ will be more than familiar with the line ‘take the painkiller, cycle on your bicycle, leave all your misery behind’ (or maybe not..
Anyways, as I said, great gig, nice venue, nice and intimate.. apart from a twaty barman who thought he was god’s gift and really needed to just clean his friggin’ ears out, it was the best £37 (incl. credit card fees) that I’ve spent in some time.
Looking forward to their new album..
Regards,
acapella.
