Tim WestWood – Love him or hate him?

You know what, i thought the same as Sean but i’ve looked after him when he came and DJ’d at our nightclub at uni and he’s really just an entertainer who’s doing his job VERY well. He’s targetted a prime age group and…well, BBC are clearly quite happy with it.

suprising how far this guy as got considering he thinks hes black does need 2 get with it like

westwood is one of those curious characters that seems to have become a national treasure.
It seems everyone respects westwood for what he has done, and theres no doubting his love for the culture, but he really is quite embarrasing.
what annoys me the most is how he doesnt seem to carve his own lane, instead he adopts everything that U.S. dj’s get wrong…. the bomb sound effects, the terrible "big dog" sayings etc. Also as the top hip hop dj in england why does he not champion more homegrown talent, he just seems to jump straight on the bandwagon of crunk/hyphy etc etc

Westwood if your listening…. use your powers at the top to break UK artists. you can make a difference.

Its about time Radio 1 got someone on to take over his slot, someone with a bit more credability than the old big dog…
