The ownership and control of commercial activity by a few European and American families has created the necessary concentration of financial power to manipulate public policy at all levels through co-option of politicians, policy institutes, charities, educational establishments, and media outlets. Maintaining this international army is a very expensive business, so it is important to understand the source of its funds.

jefpeaceParticipantI feel ya’, brah. But, most of us hold radicals from both sides of the spectrum in disdain. You might consider making your point without standing on such a tall soapbox.
I’m honestly trying to help here. I agree with you almost completely, but again, ya’ gotta’ tone it down to get your points across.

dirtypParticipantIts not even my point,. Its about ten mainstream news sources. i just put it together like a book.
I have another thread where several congressman admit were in Martial Law. If you just browse the news you will see the pattern.

DaveTParticipantTotally agree with you!
Prediction for the UK users in the house :
"Wearing ‘hoodies’ will be banned from any public place (including the street) within the next 12 months"
Why?
In all cities and most towns now there is no way to be able to move around without being caught on an endless stream of cctv camera’s, having your car’s number plate logged, being tracked to within a few meters courtesy of your wonderful mobile phone, having all your purchases logged via your credit / debit card, and a multitude of other invasive means.
Dumping your phone, cards, car and wearing a hoodie is the only way you can do your thing without being monitored by the police state we now live in.
Don’t believe me?
Last week on the news "A recent statistic released reveals that 80% of UK citizens are fearful of people wearing hoodies".
They’ve already been banned in most large shopping centres…
Just sit back and watch yet another or your civil liberties taken away from you in the name of terror 😉

AL321ParticipantDaveT, i can see the logic in banning them from shopping centres, as it very rarely rains inside a mall, but i don’t think they would stop us from wearing them in the street. You’re basically saying that if it rains, we’re not allowed to put our hood up.
I don’t think they have the balls to push us that far just yet, though they would probably like to. Even if they did implement that, i reckon people wouldn’t take any notice.
Well i hope they wouldn’t take any notice…AdSense 336x280November 24, 2008 at 11:23 am #659839
JuggernautParticipantlol @ banning hoodies.
it’s not going to happen there is no way they can monitor every square inch of this country.
Fair enough you’ve got your group of teenagers who are bored who happen to wear hoodies as it’s part of the urban image.
But what about adults or indeed sports team members, to which hooded sweaters/jackets are an integral part of their kit?? I highly doubt they’re going to ban those? How would that fair against the FC or Rugby League/Union etc.?? Lord knows it would affect their merchandise sales greatly and seeing that there are a lot of rich foreigners who own the teams, they are hardly going to let their key purchasers be banned!!
(also, i play a lot of sports and have 4 different team hoodies and Uni hoodies….hmm, this was irrelevant)
Also, if you’re acting suspiciously wearing a hoodie, the CCTV monitor team tend to zoom in on your MORE so!
Also, which "news" channel/paper was it? coz if it’s the sun (or any Murdoch conglomerate) you KNOW it’s fear mongering….that goes for the Daily (Hate) Mail.
Also AL321 makes a valid point. It does rain…A LOT in this country

DaveTParticipantIt was on the BBC 6 O’Clock News about a week ago…
I hear what both of you are saying but would you have believed me if 10 years ago I had told you that the government were planning to monitor everything you buy, everything you watch on TV and listen to on radio, every email, sms and phone call you make & every website you visit?
How about the fact that the Globalized state will be sharing your personal data, health & wealth information with any company that wants to know?
How about that they are planning to let the corporate banking world lose your life savings while their shareholders take millions of pounds in bonus’ every year and then get you to save them from bankruptcy with your tax money?
Or maybe if I had told you that they were planning to create a new type of psychological warfare called ‘terrorism’ by taking out a couple of big city landmarks and blaming on a bunch of arabs (some of whom are still alive & well in case didn’t know – google it). This new form of terrorism would make you hand over every civil liberty you had, will lead you to allowing your newborn baby to be implanted with a micro-chip & will make you so indifferent to hundreds of thousands of people in the middle east being slaughtered for NO reason whatsosever (WMD’s).
What if I had told you that they were planning to scare, then charge you thousands of pounds by inventing a conspiracy story about the planet getting hotter because you drive your car too much, and as if by some freak co-incidence this all just happens at the time when we are running out of fossil fuels to harvest and the thought of certain developing nations gaining the kind of lifestyle we in the west have enjoyed for the last 100 years is just too much to bear for the people in charge? I’m not saying that Global warming isn’t a reality, of course it is, we had an ice-age 10,000 years ago and the planet has been warming ever since. It’s not rocket science.
Everything above has happend / is happening, but would have been met with the same ridicule. Let’s just see if it happens 😉

AL321ParticipantDaveT, i have no problems believing in government corruption etc, and yes, i know that many of the hijackers are apparently still alive, molten steel was found at the base of the twin towers, the metal from the collapse was quickly shipped off to china so it couldn’t be investigated by forensics…
But the reason i don’t think they would ban hoodies, is that these people are very clever. They know how far they can push people without it seeming unreasonable. In fact, they have developed it into an art. For them to ban hoodies in the next 12 months and make it seem ‘reasonable’ , there would have to be a very major event in london, i think. Something bigger than the london bombings.
People are being trained nicely as it is. I see no reason why they would do something silly like ban hooded tops and risk a serious backlash.Though, i do tend to give the average londoner a bit more credit than they probably deserve, so i won’t totally ignore your comment.
–EDIT– 2 years of hard labour, and finally… 50 posts!!!!
–2nd EDIT– after i posted this message, i suddenly couldn’t connect to A4U anymore… started getting a critical error. Maybe they are watching more closely than i think…

JuggernautParticipantDaveT i wouldn’t doubt it for a second man!
All that is connected via networks with various digital access points with your cards, signatures, cameras etc. That’s why my savings are in big budweiser plastic piggy bank style bottles. **** the government
Also when i have kids, i’m going back home….Africa can NEVER become rich. and that’s fine so long as all that digital rubbish stays well away, it’s the work of the devil.
Again, got rid of my car. use my roller blades in central and cycle. Use a young persons railcard so it aint no thang!
Unless all hoodies have a digital chip in them (and believe me i’ll destroy every single one in every hoodie i own if needs be) it’s going to be VERY hard to implement.
Plus it would infringe upon human rights…choice of clothing?!! i mean seriously. what about puffer jackets?? what about "skin heads" …i’ve recently shaved my head (not graded, SHAVED) don’t mean i’m going to be subjected to increased surveillance. Probably out of curiosity but not as a menace.
…there are bigger issues like this new cereal i still haven’t had a go of called credit crunch, than to worry about hoodies.
if this does happen within the next 12 months. I will defy ’em to the end!
