This is my first post on this site, although i already had an account for some months. Hope you guys like the song, give a comment @ youtube or @ the topic, do whatever you’re feeling!
Me and friend finished this song like a week ago, we wanted to make a remix but didnt knew of which song. We found this old prodigy song called No Good, it’s like an old school techno/house song. I loved the vocals! (Actually they are from Kelly Charles, but we’ve used the prodigy’s version)
Then we found the a capella on the best a capella site out there ofcourse (slime slime) and started the track.The track is on youtube and if you guys like it you also can download it from here : http://www21.zippyshare.com/v/76315072/file.html

enitzirkParticipanthey! I like this track, and absolutely love the bass! it reminds me a bit of the Static Revenger & Richard Vission ft. LUCIANA ‘I Like That’ bass, could you give me some basic tips on how to create that sound with a synth?

MellebeatsParticipantThank you guys! That’s a really great compliment Chuncky! Sorry for the late reply though, i thought nobody would reply on this topic cause it was like dead for the first two weeks.

You mean the bass from the first qlimax after the intro? Or from the 2nd qlimax?
We made the basses with sylenth1, extactly we just got picked a couple of presets and edited to our own taste, we layered three synths, all from sylenth1, lowered the release and attack and putted the cutoff up to his highest level, we did the same with an other bass only now we didn’t put the cutoff on his highest level and we putted the melody one octave lower, i thought it was an other synth too, it wasn’t that simple hehe.I don’t really know a lot of sound design, i suggest you look at youtube and learn the basics of sound design, i did the same. And another tip is too just open an preset of a vst and just experimate with it, change things like release,cuttoff, decay, change effects. That are the only tips i can give you bro!
