MelParticipantOkay–this is ONLY my second topic. If I am wrong for starting two topics in one day, please, spare me a little folly.
The reason I started this topic is because I am actually seeking info on Biggie. This is by no means disrespect to 2PAC fans (felt like I had to say that for the simple minded). In fact, I’m a 2PAC fan myself. But that’s just it–there’s a ton of 2PAC acapellas on the ftp, and barely any of Biggie’s material. Can anybody give me info on this? I’ve asked this question before, but unfortunately, my tight work schedule enabled me from checking back for responses. Starting this topic, I’m sure to get responses. Thanks for all your posts, and hopefully, we can expand conversation well beyond Biggie Acapellas and actually celebrate his existance.

MelParticipantTotally agree with you Purefiya, don’t know if you noticed it, but a lot of these cats don’t like to chat either.
It’s like they only want to rape the site for acapellas and bounce. No sharing, no convo, no love.
Thanks for your interest in this topic, holler back, and tell people about it.

MelParticipantHey, what’s everybody’s favorite biggie song(s) / album (s). He only had two albums (Born Again don’t count)
I would have to say that my favorite biggie album is Ready To Die (back when he had that hi-pitch flow). Favorite songs would probably be Dead Wrong (the beat is ridiculous!!!!!), Juicy, Me and My Bitch, and Warning (another sick beat). Soooooooo……
Favorite Album – Ready To Die

Hey people…
What are your favorite biggie song (s) and album (s)? Holler back!I’d like to make a correction to my previous comment. I like biggie’s Dead Wrong track, as in the ORIGINAL. Dead Wrong minus Eminem’s bullshit.

MelParticipantGlad to see this chat zone is picking up. BIG is definitely one of the best; can’t really compare him with PAC though. It’s like comparing an apple and an orange.
Speaking of BIG, what’s with this new book about him?

habib1984Participanti cant believe this thread exists, notorious b.i.g. is the greatest rap artist of all time, reasons y, it only took him 2 albums to reach that level…. he is a legend and if any1 has any questions on him, leave them here and ill get back to you, im what u may call a obsessed fan

vice versesParticipantcome on!!!
kick in the door waving the fo fo’
all i hear is poppa dont hit me no more!!!gotta be his most banging track!
(kick in the door)V.V.
ps i reckon the reason theres so many more pac acapellas than biggie, apart from the work ethic is that when pac died his pellas were in a lot of studios to be mixed down and remade with new beats…. if u look most of the pellas were unreleased songs when he died, not many are from albums released b4 his death. hence u have a lot of engineers and music producers with his music so that must be where they were leaked from.
(u only have to look at the loyal 2 game album to prove that theory, as most of the pellas from there are now available)AdSense 336x280December 2, 2005 at 7:11 am #581467
DJ LMA aka DJ LeethalParticipantI know what you mean mel, sh…..homie I done looked all over the net for all types of biggie acapellas and still don’t got no where near half as much pellas of his than pac’s. I am gald though that there is as many pellas of pac’s released though cause I’d be searching even harder. I just hope one day someone under the table and behind puffy’s back leaks some pellas of big’s material out to the net cause all that we have is a couple alright pellas and alot of bogus or bad quality ones. Puffy got locked and chained all of big’s verses. Bullsh**. I would love ta mix somethin’ like Somebody’s Gotta Die. That is probably my fav. B.I.G. song ta date. Straight gangsta. Lot’s of people think he was talkin’ bout pac in the song though but I don’t know ’bout all that……I personally don’t think so.
Also has anyone ever listened to that track and noticed it has like a whole story inbeded into the track itself???? I was blown away by that shi* for real. Like if you tweak with the audio it self and drain big’s voice somehow you can hear a whole convo. with puff and big talking through out the song. It’s trippy for real.

vice versesParticipantbiggie never really fulfilled his potential, yes before you all shout at me his was great!!!…. but just imagine where he could have taken hip hop…. i think thats why he was crowned the king of new york…. possibly not for what he was but what he could have been, a shame his life ended so prematurely but i cant help but feel he’s ever so slightly over rated.
(yup. im now waiting for the backlash!!!)

djdyvurseParticipantYeah I wish I could especially get warning for a mash -up I’m trying to make.
Anyways, I remember listening to rewinding the tape back over and over to learn the words to juicy and One more chance. But my favorite is pro’lly Kick in the Door cause preemo flipped that sample somethin’ lovely. I also remember hearin’ Hypnotize before it blew. I love rockin doubles on that song. I loved Biggie (no homo) even though likin’ east coast music wasn’t cool in the south (or at least Texas for that matter)

MelParticipantFirst of all, it is really good to see a topic that I created almost two years ago still active. Let us all keep it alive!
RIP – BIG. Even though your last album (DUETS) sucks. It’s not your fault, though. You knew how Diddy was when you were alive and he was in EVERY ONE of your videos dancing like a complete idiot.

MelParticipantPac and Nas definitely squashed there beef…like 2 weeks before Pac got killed. It was confirmed by former OUTLAWZ member Napoleon on OUTLAWZ DVD #4: NOVAKANE. Despite the rumors, Napoleon said that Pac and Nas met up, both had a bunch of people with them, and they chopped it up and squashed the beef. Period. Nobody got punked (like the media claims that Snoop Dogg says). Pac was going to take the diss track with Nas off but died before he could.
