DJThuhtParticipantThis video is a long winded way of explaining that I suspect my TT isn’t spinning at a constant speed. It’s an SL 1210mk5, got it almost two months ago (unlike I say in the video). Do they have some kind of warranty at all?

DJ Bobby VParticipantIf the pitch control is at zero in that video then it’s working right. They always look like they are moving. An optical ilusion maybe. You can always check it by having the same song on vinyl and cd and locking the two together. Or use drum machine…something.

DJThuhtParticipantYeah, the ‘reset’ button is on. =(
So Virtual DJ isn’t working right then. Because I keep trying to mix trance, right, and I’ll get them matched, and they’ll be good for about 16 bars or so, and… I dunno, its like someone’s sliding the pitch control up and down- just a little bit, it’ll go from like 136.5 to 135.3, and hop all around in there, so the beats go just a little bit off, and it sounds like crap. But when I disable timecode control, it works great (my cdjs work great with the timecode cds, but the vinyl is a problem >.<).
So you think the problem lies with the software, then?
Maybe I should go for Traktor?

DJ Bobby VParticipantIf you got the money http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ … c=3SOSWXXA

DJThuhtParticipantYeah.. I know, I just wanna be able to use more than two decks in one instance. (Traktor is actually more expensive).
But its kind of a moot point since I don’t have the money anyway xD (I have $7 in my pocket right now. Yay college!)

retrorespectParticipantI always find vinyl wavers slightly any way, its part of the fun.

DJ Bobby VParticipantSerato works the best. No latency.

DJThuhtParticipantIs it really possible to have no latency in a DVS? I don’t think so =\
Besides, if I use Serato, I’ll still be kicking myself (like I am now) for not buying a DVS that can handle more than 2 virtual decks in one instance.
