djspyderb4everParticipantI just love the crazy 80’s.
Here’s a remix of Tears for Fears – "Shout" I just finished.http://www.4shared.com/file/21145159/b9 … mix2_.html
I updated the track a bit and gave it a little more flavor.

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantI liked, got loads of potential.
I started remixing this track ages ago but never got round to finsishing it.I think adding a synth would pollish this one of nicely

Thanks for the input.

lebeauParticipantI really liked it! Good work, but I think that a little more movement would help, like for instance, you know how in the original there are chord changes during the verses? The cool grind bass you have there is pretty sweet! and if you could get that bass to switch to those original chord changes and then keep it to what you have throughout the chorus, that might sound really cool. What do you think?
As a whole though, I really enjoyed it.

[/quote:26g80su4]Interesting.
I was going to mess with it some more anyway so i’ll give it a shot.

djredbullParticipantKiller mix bro!!
I’m going to give this a spin on my mix show.AdSense 336x280October 26, 2007 at 11:18 am #635919
otgParticipantGreat minimal house vibe, didn’t really like the gated pad that came in at around 1:47, the tune didn’t need it, especially for the prolonged period for which it ran. The percussion work is excellent.

Alf4ParticipantYep solid track, good production and nice use of vocals on the track. Another top tune!!

djshadesukParticipantNot sure about this track. The vocals seem to really clash and seem to be in a different key. God, I’m going to get a reputation for being really negative at this rate!
I think it may not help that I approach everything from a ‘would it get played in a club?’ perspective when perhaps that was never even the intention of the track. Then again perhaps it was, but this track just doesn’t really do it for me.

I hate when you see feedback that just says "I didn’t like it" and doesn’t give a reason why. No worries, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it.
As I have stated in other post, the mixes i make are done to help get me back and forth to work as i sit in traffic. I don’t remix things with club play in mind. I just do it as a hobby with things i think sound cool. Some people will like it and some won’t. That’s fine with me.

djshadesukParticipantFirst of all Spyder I have to say thank you! It makes a change to find a forum where everyone is so genial and polite even in the face of criticism… Although (secretly) sometimes a good, clean all-out-war thread can be entertaining!
I agree that those "Don’t like it" posts are not really helpful to anybody… especially when they are duplicated (like in your Chasing Cars thread)
Again, thank you!
