Today, the 12th September 2007, is the 30th annivesary of the death, in police custody, of Mr. Stephen Bantu (Steve) Biko at the age of 30. He would be 60 now. He was an educated man, married with one child, and had medical qualifications.
All he ever wanted was for Black South Africans to have the same level of equality as the whites had. Not more, not less, just the same. He was a peaceful activist though died a violent death as a consequence of the oppressive Aparthied regime.

Long may he rest in peace. If only there was many more people like Mr. Biko who wanted to change things for the better.
