SeanzaParticipantDid anyone hear about Steve Irwin dying? He waz stabbed in the heart by a Stingray whilst filming a documentary in Australia (for more click ).
The guy waz a legend, absolutely NO doubt about that, but this waz due to happen any tyme soon. Apparently, 1 more venomous snake byte & that waz him.
Atleast he died doing what he loved but ma thoughtz go out to hiz family & friendz at this sad tyme.

Absolutely shocked when a work colleague told me about this news this morning. I actually thought he wass building up to a joke (an extension of Friday afternoon’s sesh) – but no, he wasn’t..
Brapko, "but bout time" ? – Are you implying that he deserved it ? – yeah the guy was crazy with the acts he performed but to say "about time"? – I do hope emoticons have simply got the better of me and apologies if i’ve misread.

DJ_Patron(A-zona)ParticipantDamn poor guy. I heard about this on my way to Rocky Point yesterday. I cant stand to hear about peoples death, especially someone like The Crocidile Hunter. Can you imagine his familly!!!!!!!!!!
He was filming a documentary during the time, and i can almost gurantee u the film will leak. They said he died instantly! They only knew that because they reviewed the video to study how long it took for him to die.
R.I.P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And he died by a stingray. there have only been 3 or 4 stingray deaths in the last 100 years. Talk about luck!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up watching his shows.

A had just seen a simple movement that killed the worldz greatest wildlyfe enthusiast!

Damn thats crazy, but i heard different, I read that after the stingray, pierced him, Steve pulled the tail out of his chest, and fell slowly. His close friend (the camera guy) described it as the most horrible experience, he said he could do nothing but watch him die slowly in front of him.
So so sad.

etiNetaLmaIParticipantyeah man thats crazy. RIP he will definetly be missed. they said that its very unlikely for someone to die from a stingrays sting, but the way that it pierced him under the ribcage into his heart is the reason he died. they also said that they believe he died instantly.

To quote the producer of the show he waz filming
"He pulled the tail from here (pointing to hiz chest) & the next minute he waz gone"
EchoMike, it waz a Bull Stingray so am sure they’re dif to normal Stingrayz.
Itz a bit ironic that he waz filming a show called "10 Most Dangerous Animals Of The Sea" when he died dont u think?

According to his manager & friend John Stainton they have his death on film as they were in the middle of shooting one of his adventures. Stainton viewed the footage and yes it was given to the coroner. His manager also said that the footage would NEVER be shown which I agree with 100%. We should remember Steve for the good things he did, I wouldn’t want my (or any kids) last memories of him to be his tragic death.

MelParticipantMan, I hate that dude died. You can tell that he was a genuinely nice guy.
I can’t stand the media, though. They are always trying to get the scoop and what not. Is it just me, or do news reporters look uncontainably excited when bad shit happens? Their eyes light up, and its almost a faint smile on their faces. Everybody wants to be the bearer of bad news.
Poor Steve hadn’t even been dead 24 hours, and the blasted media was baiting his best friend on what his final words were, and if he thought his death was slow and painful or not. I mean, come on! They won’t even give his family a chance to mourn.
