So, it’s about 3 A.M. my time, I get this email like 6 or 8 hours after I upload of a remix I did using a Nikki Minaj sample. It made it to about number 8 on the charts and I didn’t check downloads. There are DJ sets of copyright material and pictures to, but, for some reason they singled me out. I’m not a well known artist or anything, but I’m not selling the track or benefiting by the track by money or something.

*sigh*, and all I was doing was what DJ’s all around the world do.

Yo, the artist/band name is "Gateless Barrier" on SoundClick.

Oh, and I like this site, but sh-yat, got my balls busted tonight.

Wow, now they deleted my first blog that talked about it. So WTF gives, they make me take down mixes I don’t sell or benefit from. I got the acca’s from here. Then I check my site and they deleted my blog that talks about it?!?!

Feel like I’m being singled out. Sh*t, anyway here’s what I put up after they deleted the other one:

[i:ibcn7owt]SoundClick deleted some of my blogs on here. Especially after they got on to me about a mix I put up.

They tried to point me out on some stuff when actually it is all over SC. What gives? Why single me out and not the entire site? For real? This time, I’m copying this blog.

They deleted my blog talking about it to. They are letting other DJ’s use people’s music in mix sets, let people use copyrighted images of stars, then get on to me because I used one accapella.

Yo, some bullshit is going on to edit an artists page without even talking to them first.

I like Sound Click but something F’ed up is going on.[/i:ibcn7owt]

Aight, they reinstated me, but deleted my blog again. Man, but still there are other artists and DJ’s doing some similar stuff.

But, it is weird how they singled me out. Wonder if Cash Money had anything to do with it.

That’s alright, I’ll play by Sound Clicks rules.

A while ago i had a request to remove my remix of a track i uploaded. Apparently the label made a claim with soundcloud.
I guess i was singled out simply because the label became aware of the mix and reported it. Its probably the same situation with you.

But it does seem such a waste of time that labels hassle hobby producers and even counterproductive in some cases.
I DJ in front of 3000-4000 people a week, needless to say if they dont want me to stream my mix online i guess they
dont want me to promote their song to 1000’s of people a week

It’s basically whenever someone wants to be a dick and report mashups. I mean unless you’re trying to sell other people’s work for commercial gain it should all be free.
