I downloaded the ‘Midnight Oil – Beds Are Burning’ acapella.
It’s fine, though I would like to know how to get rid of the (annoying) cowbell under the vocals.
What could do the trick ?
Thanks

Another similar sized Cowbell (pitch, tonal… etc) with reverb could do the trick. Remember to use the ‘phase inversion’ on just the Cowbell.

To fully cancel the cowbell out, it has to be exactly the same. Although I would be happy with a 50% or so ‘volume decrease’ for just the cowbell. The other instruments will make whatever is left disappear.
However, I seem to be having difficulties getting rid of this bell. Even when trying to do the above …
I would say it has some kind of Modulation or another varying effect that changes the wave. There is not a 100% way (that i’m aware of) to get rid of any sound, especially when considering ‘dither’ and ‘summing’ has also been involved.
