These days that’s the only way I can fall asleep(must be an age thing ). Now I know why every morning it feels like I haven’t had a good nights’ sleep, it’s those damn adverts waking me up and giving me “broken” sleep.
I signed it in the hope all will change and I’ll get a decent nights sleep then DJ Val won’t be such a grumpy DJ Val .

How interesting, I used to work for a Centralcast broadcast station. I was a mastercontrol operator. We were/are responsible for the quality of the audio and video for all programs and adverts that went to air.

When I was on air the volume difference between shows and spots were within 1-2 db of eachother.(very minor) The best people to contact for these issues are those who work in broadcast operations and engineering.

I do find it to be very annoying when I watch the tube and the show is set to a level that is tolerable then when the commercial plays you go def.

Why we are at it how about complainig to the motion picture industry about their volume levels as well. Why is it when the people talk you can barely hear it then you bring the volume up so you can understand them then all the sudden the soundeffects come in and you speakers get blown.

I hate to say it your petitiion probably won’t get this changed. The adverts are what make money for the stations and that is what is important to them. If they think having the volume louder than programs is what is going to get the consumers attention then they were right because it as gotten all of yours.

Goodluck and even though I don’t think it will change anything I have signed the petition.
