DJ_BradyParticipantFirst off Im on a different comp right now heres what happened my main one
Okay I uninstalled XP in the hope of installing Windows 98 again, because it wouldnt until I uninstalled XP…When I loaded up I got an error message saying it couldnt but the 98 disk, but it booted up for the XP one.. I was going to use the command prompt and format drive c but couldnt get it so I decided maybe I would load the XP disk and delete and format partition, then before I let it start to install XP I switched the comp off, I hoped C would be deleted and someway I could have dos at start up and type D:/setup.exe to load Windows 98 but now I cannot boot off the XP disk or anything I get this error msg : NTLDR is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart.. EVERY TIME
What Can I do?

MelParticipantSlyde…
Isn’t BIOS the “same” as CMOS? I thought I’d ask that question because I believe some hard drives vary between BIOS and CMOS.
Anyway, you can access BIOS or CMOS by repeatedly striking the F6 key (sometimes F4 or F9 keys) when the Windows Logo screen comes up. All this does is generate an error, and will bring up the CMOS / BIOS menu. It may recognize that you interupted the installation and ask you to insert the installCD and continue from where you left off. It’s worth a try at least.
