room 401

Im not familiar with the MTV programming in the UK or elsewhere, but there is a new show out called "room 401" on MTV. HOLY SHIT!! It is so badass!! You HAVE to watch it if you get the chance. It comes on, on Tuesday nights.

In a nutshell, it is a show where real people are put into a situation with professional (amazingly good) illusionists and they are filmed without knowing it. The illusionists and the production crew set up a HORRIFYING scenario that looks so incredibly real and scares the shit out of the people being filmed. Its like a really really sick version of "Candid Camera" or "Just for Laughs". I watched it last night and got chills…and I dont frighten easily.

The thing that makes this so amazing…and remember this when you see it the first time…there are NO SPECIAL EFFECTS. This is the handi work of professional illusionists and the fear expressed by the onlookers is REAL! You can tell too. There is no mistaking the real thing from people acting. Damn, its good!
