Is there any way I can rip audio only from a DVD on a Mac?
I’m not sure if it’s available on Mac, but whenever I want to rip something, I’m forced to use an extension for Firefox (called Freecorder). I’ve got a boss Native Instruments Audio Kontrol soundcard but for some reason they didn’t see fit to make it possible to record from the souncard, utterly ridiculous! However using the Freecorder extension, I can record any sound that’s playing be it from a dvd, an online video or my DAW. In fact… sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I just checked and all I could find were people requesting alternatives for Mac. What I did find however….

Apparently this can record audio from DVD.

Cheers guys… will give it a try
Soundflower allows you too root any audio signal to any program internally.
So you can root any signal to a recording device in real time, its quite tricky setting it up tho

The way I do it is abit long winded but it works. I just basically hook up my dvd player’s phono leads to my soundcard and connect the dvd player to my tv by a scart lead to see the picture, then just hit record from logic when I find a piece I like.
