andycessfordParticipantWell love it or hate it this tune did launch Eric Morillo (you may also love or hate him too I guess) to the big time and as this was one of those tunes that came out around the time I was just doing my final exams at secondary school it was on the radio most days when I was revising (1994 if you were interested) its one that has kinda stuck with me.
When I went to a outdoor psytrance rave (or bush doof (but they say doof more like duff) as they are know over here) not far from me in Australia and the DJ dropped the pella in a breakdown (he slowed it right down and then sped it up as it built up) of massive proportions I was sent back in time to a warm (yes it did get hot in the summer back in those days in Nottingham) summer outside revising all them years ago and it sparked a little idea off………
Its still a work in progress, I only started it yesterday but thought I’d share where Im currently at and get some feedback.
EDITED – Following feedback about the synth have been and updated it to change that synth, well remove it actually and replace with something of a reverse effect. rest is I left it before.

otgParticipantThis tune reminds me of the first time I went to a club, at the tender age of 16, Martines 2 in Eastleigh… what a dive!
Anyhow, to your tune!
Solid production, some good effects in there (panned open hi hat was a nice touch). Don’t really like the extra synth after the break (buk buk), doesn’t fit in time with the tune, and moves around a little too much.

andycessfordParticipantglad it reminds other people of the good ol days

Cheers for the feedback.
Yeah was happy with how the hi hat came out with the panning, it gave it something extra which was good.
Tried to emulate (but my take of it) the synth sound in the background from the original tune but play with the pattern and arrangement a bit, wasnt 100% sure of it myself tho, will have a fiddle some more with that one.

andycessfordParticipantwent to a festival last weekend in Australia (summafieldayze) and was bopping away in one of the tents and heard my remix played, I was surprised as chuffed all at the same time!
The Dj playing had asked me for a copy of it but I never expected it to actually get played there!
Makes it all worth while
