RE: Requesting Acapellas – $2 a month for the privellege?

A totally understand the reason behind the no requests policy on this site as av seen alot of sites similar to this one being completely bombarded with really annoying requests like "DUZ NE1 HAV DIS ACAPELA CUZ A RELI NEED DIS" it does get annoying after about 3 times!

However, maybe acapella requests aren’t such a bad thing. For example, if someone just cannot get a grip of the D.I.Y acapella thing (like myself), it would ge nice if someone who has a bit of time on their hands to do this.

And then upload it onto the site. With the way this site is Moderated, a don’t think it will cause too much problems and if it does, then there’s always more staff to get a hold of. A know a wouldn’t mind being asked to help out, maybe am not the only one?

Have a got this completely wrong and we are allowed acapella requests or do a have a point which is worth thinking about?

If this was to go ahead, $2 would be welcomed more than £2 as (a think) it would work out cheaper lol.

A see what your saying with regards to acapella changing the poll. However, a created the poll to see how many members thought ma idea was a good idea or not. No disrespect whatsoever to acapella btw, just want you guys & gal to understand where am comin from. A don’t wanna look like am the one who’s suggesting the charge to enter the Request section. That’s all.

$2 might not be alot to ask for but nothing else on the site seems to be a charged service with exception of the online store.

As for members reading the requests section, a would be more than happy to reply to any acapellas requested, regardless if a had the acapella or not. And as for mod’ing that section, again, a wouldn’t have any problems with helping out. A wouldn’t take liberties and ask the staff to take on any extra work as ma guess is mod’ing this site is hard work. Am pretty much on this site the most out of all the members (you just have to look at ma post count and join date to work that out lol), so it wouldn’t be a major problem for me.

This topic has expanded alot more than a thought it would. A think it’s great am getting this response!

Yeah devilzone, we must be crazy lol! A think the reason behind the charge is most probably due to lack of members who donate. Am not saying anyone should donate. But a think that’s the reason why. After all, a don’t think what goes on behind the scenes is free of charge.

A understand where your coming from with the not wanting to be police bit. A think the only members who would see you guys as the police, would be newbies. After being here a while they will soon see the difference good mods make.

At the end of the day, no-matter what gets said in this discussion, only one person can make the decision. And whatever decision acapella makes, we will go along with it. Some of us may like it, others may not.

Am glad this subject is out in the open too. It’s made it easier for me to understand that Request rule.

A just wanna say that it was about why this site doesn’t allow requests, made me bring this up.

OK, how about asking if anyone has the acapella, or intends to make a D.I.Y acapella? Instead of asking someone to create a D.I.Y pella?

Maybe disregard ma original post and make it just to request acapellas that people might already have.

For example, "Can any please upload xxx ft. xxx – xxx (acapella)?"

How about that?
