Hi, welcome to the site. As far as I know the site doesn’t discourage you from posting links, unless some sort of minimum post count has been introduced (or I’ve forgotten about it) before you can post links. Don’t forget you can also embed the SoundCloud player or YouTube videos, in pages if you have an account on those sites.
