Yeah – this mix is a bit…. crazy ! Probably the Mashiest Mash i’ve ever done ! I use Acid 4.0 for the original beat mixing and "chopping of the tracks". As long as you work in the principle of 4 beats a section you usually can’t go wrong. Once i’m happy with how it sounds.. I render each track individually into either Mp3 or Wav (there’s an option in acid on how to do that) when you go to render…

Whack it into Adobe Audition/cool edit.. in mutlitrack and layer up all the tracks I previously rendered in Acid and start with the FX !

I use various filters and reverb effects… Usually some dynamic EQ, which starts off either just with the treble and then brings in the mid and bass or the other way round… Loads of dance tunes do that nowadays… e.g. Eric Prydz – Call on me – where you can slowly start to hear the muffled vocals come in starting from the low bass, mids then bringing in the treble…

If there’s any part of the mix you wanted to know what effects I used just holla and i’ll let you know how I did it !

Cheers Robert ! I agree about the EQ, I’ll look into maybe giving it a bit more mid and treble and go easy on the bass.. I couldn’t hear the 2:30 clipping – I’ll have a gander when i open it up !
