Definitely remove them from the bathroom NOW. All sorts of ish will happen from the condensation and damp that still remains there after.

Rust and rot are more than likely unless (as Bobby V has clearly stated) they’re outdoor speakers where they are designed to be subjected to abuse.

…still, you’ll need to provide a lot of ventilation from the damp in your bathroom to keep possibility of mould/mildew to a minimum
