Ozonic M-Audio – no firewire on new PC.

Hey, I’ve been extremely happy with my Ozonic for many years but I’ve recently upgraded my home PC and realised that there is absolutely NO support for Firewire.

So, will I ever see my Ozonic again or will I simply have to upgrade? I’m keen to still have the recording guitar capabilities that my Ozonic provided. I’m not overly bothered with all those knobs and sliders and my DAW of choice is Ableton Live 8.

What have you upgraded to? would a simple Firewire PCIe card be a viable option for you? If your lucky enough to have Thunderbolt then a thunderbolt to firewire cable is another option.. both look like they are around the same money from a quick google search.

My new ASUS board doesn’t support any PCI so I cannot use the old internal Firewire card at all mate.

After purchasing the M-Audio Uno midi in/out to USB leads, I’m still suffering with a ‘not just the same as it used to be setup.
