Hi guys…
I’ve been trying to make a DIY pella of Michael Jackson’s Thriller… which has been driving me crazy. I have an instrumental, and a vocal version of the same length…both WAV quality, but when i line them up perfectly, they just will not cancel out..and slowly drop out of sync.
I’ve tried the following methods to try and resolve the issue:
1. Split the instrumental at each kick drum and re-lined it up.. to keep the track in time.
2. resampling the track to correct the tempo of the instrumental, but this does not work
3. Kn0ck0ut
Does anyone have any ideas for this…

AdSense 336x280I haven’t tried using pro tools. Ive been using adobe audition to try and resample and correct the timing of the track, but with limited success.
i might give pro tools a whirl see if i can have any joy.
has anyone else ever tried to make this acapella….? Probably one of the most famous songs ever, would be great for remixing..but no pella
