GMoneyParticipantCertainly not as bad as some other attempts I’ve heard on this classic!
It’s solid, well done. Doesn’t impress like mad crazy but still a fun listen. At least worth a 3.5/5 or more. I’d say the crash hits are a little uncalled for much of the time too… well, not "uncalled for" perse, more like they should be faded in on the runs. So, if you got 4 crash hits in a row, gradually fade them in and make #4 the real kicker. Otherwise it kinda’ gives the same effect as somebody screaming in the library. (Shhhhhhh! You’re scaring the children!)
Thanks for the track, overall I likes it!

Well when you either find or create some make sure you upload them to the database. As always make sure you read the and remember that requesting is not allowed. Just for future reference.
Have a nice day,

davefjParticipantI was wondering why this got bumped :S

sbongard15ParticipantI think it sounds great. Normally I hear stuff that is just mashed straight up with the song, but you actually have a beat and direction with the song. Keep em coming!

davefjParticipantOk so a year or so on from the original posting of this tune I have developed my production more and have reworked this quite extensively.
Slightly less rave breaky, much more chunky bass, a bit cleaner sounding and a switch into 4:4 for the second section.
Hope the changes are liked and not spammed as before

Hope you had a good Christmas/New Year?
AdSense 336x280January 9, 2008 at 2:40 pm #641068
otgParticipantNo, I have two small children. I had a stressy Christmas that started at 4am with ‘can we open our presents now?’, didn’t end until far far too late in the evening and also involved the in-laws. As for New Year… (shakes fist in anger).
Now for the politically correct answer: Yes, it was wonderful, it’s all for the children isn’t it, seeing their eyes light up (bleugh!)
How ’bout choo?
AdSense 336x280January 10, 2008 at 4:21 pm #641119
davefjParticipantShort and sweet for me.
It gave me a chance to re-work this track and I barely had any interuptions with DJing work.
All in all not bad

swaogerParticipantDave, that’s a pretty hot mix. The bass sounds MEAN! It might be a little busy for the crowds I spin for, but I might give it a go one night.
Thanks for posting.

The bass does a little bit of umph! to it 😉
Hopefully you will give it a shot and see what happens.Let me know the outcome.

Also for this track I used the original track not an acapella versionAdSense 336x280March 12, 2008 at 8:56 pm #645362
LuminanceParticipantGreat job mixing. This really sounds like a commercial track.
Something about those crashes that irk me. The one’s that pan left and right and such. Maybe take them down a notch a little bit.
Love the electro bass. How’d you get that sound? Is it a vst?
The stutters sound great too. Nice job. keep up the good work!

I cheated with the bass sound as I may have borrowed it from an old house track and then messed around with it using effects and eq, loaded it into NN-XT then played the notes required.
Cheers for taking the time to listen to the track and enjoying it
