VoicedudeParticipantOK, so a high school that I made some "Bring It On"-like cheerleader mixes for last year asked me to do another for this year. The only idea for suggestions offered was ‘….something about girls having fun’, etc. As I started putting it together, I noticed that my concept was working out far better than anticipated, so I decided to make a full length version first, and then edit it down for the cheerleader mix.
NOW I have to make this only forty-five seconds.
That’s right,
forty-five seconds.
In the meantime, here is the track in it’s original length, complete with opening beats for playout.
Maybe someone could use this for a fashion show or something…."Something For The Ladies…"
featuring
"Ladies Night [Ben Liebrand 2Step Mix]" – Kool & The Gang
"Man! I Feel Like A Woman" – Shania Twainplus elements from Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Cam’ron, Cyndi Lauper,
…….and even some Boys (Beastie and Beach).Download it from the usual spot:

anisinaParticipant[quote quote="chris newman":3csr5j9h]Thanks for sharing. Mix is nice, like the samples, only thing i think would make it better would be to change the backing track about a bit.
I have just started making cheer mixes too! So i know how difficult it is! Mine have to be about 2.30 in length so I have more time to play with.
Would love to hear the others you made!
Check mine out below

[/quote:3csr5j9h]Chris, your links have been removed due to the possibility of the topic being hi-jacked with remarks to your tracks. Please feel free to start your own topic to get a review of your work, of which there will be many from what I have just heard.
Thanks.

Review
I can just hear this being played at a party, especially for those from the predominantly Commercial spectrum of life. The mix is excellent, allthough the key challenges the interchangability in parts, though the vast majority of the time it works considerably.
Good work, keep it on going.

DJ LevantParticipantThe Voicedude is back! Again a very creative work is. Always sounds fresh and an artistic concept/theme is always present.
As Anisina pointed their are key changes but thats what a megamix incorporates. Also enjoyed how u sampled Whitney Houston.

I actually had to use the Audacity (yes, I made this on Audacity!) to make/fake a karaoke version in some parts just to get some mentals, EQ’d everything but the bass out to fatten it back up again, and even used it to get Shania’s acapellas as well. If there had been more ‘mental sections (or if I had more time to re-create them), this would’ve been a cleaner mix.
By the way, the key only changes at the end when it goes into Junior Vasquez’s Lauper remix, and then actually does so harmonically.
Ah well, all the best sections will be used in the scant 45 second version along with som accents FX! But at least you can hear what I heard with Shania fitting so well that I had to try to make this a full-lengthed version.
Thanx for the comments!
