The_reverendParticipantI bought myself a midi cable today (finally) and now have my keyboard hooked up to my laptop. I’m running on Windows XP and am using Cubase SX2 and Reason 2.5. The problem is, when I press 2 keys on the key board at the same time, I get a little bit of a rumble noise on cubase and it sometimes happens on Reason but it only seems to be random with that. I’ve changed the drivers about and tried ASIO, DX, etc and messed about with latency but i still here the rumble.
Could it be anything to do with my controller? I’m just using a midi keyboard that I bought about 3 years ago. It’s a Yamaha PSR-280 if that helps.

In SilicoParticipantIt could also depend on the two notes – it could be bad harmonics in your speakers. What sorta beat-blasters are you running?

The_reverendParticipantCheers guys. I’ve just got the soundcard that came with my laptop. Think its a Sigmatel c-major. Could be wrong though. The speakers are just the speakers on the laptop. I’ll hook it up to me decent speakers at some point and see how i go on.
Thanks again.
