matmoo_kParticipantnow then people. i did a search through the forums and couldn’t find anything to do with this. (i may have been using the wrong search terms, but chunky or shades will put me right. lol)
as we know the upload limit for posting your own stuff up on here (not acapella adding) is low. 10 mb if i remember correctly. alot of the uploading/download services are pricey (well not really, but some people will think that it is)
i have come across a decent little FREE uploading service (there was only one ref to this in a thread but it didn’t go into too much detail)
sendspace.com
it’s genius really for what it is. yes the free service ain’t as good as lets say……rapidshare or megaupload. but what the hell. it’s free. files upto 300mb. if your making tunes upto and over that……….i dunno you probably got far too much time on your hands. lol and now i’m veering off. lol
you ideally wanna be doing the ‘registering’ thing. that way you’ll get emails with the links of stuff you have thrown up. and keep track of what’s there.
also perfect for those pesky times when you ‘just have to email this file’ …..and as we also know pretty much anything past 15mb and you can kiss that idea goodbye. lol

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantAbout time we talked about this, anything to get people away from Satans file host (Zshare!)
Give these a look;
[url:2j4zmazp]http://tinyload.com/[/url:2j4zmazp] (Upload to MegaUpload, FileFactory, RapidShare, DivShare, Best Sharing,
SendSpace, Uploading, File Send, EasyShare, Badongo, zShare and Amazon S3 simultanesouly)Many others offer similar services;
[url:2j4zmazp]http://www.massmirror.com/[/url:2j4zmazp]
[url:2j4zmazp]http://uploadjockey.com/[/url:2j4zmazp]
[url:2j4zmazp]http://asapload.com/[/url:2j4zmazp]Seems like a no brainer to me, although I admit Ive yet to try any of these services,
maybe there is a catch?AdSense 336x280August 21, 2008 at 7:56 am #655596
otgParticipantI’d like to give a +1 to , even my father has been able to use it, and he’s not the most computer literate person in the world.
Unlike RapidShare, it doesn’t make you wait before downloading a file, the only restriction that I’ve found in using it for over a year is that you can’t download more than one file simultaneously unless you’ve got paid membership. Once the first file’s finished, there’s no waiting to start the next one however.
Almost forgot, the SendSpace Wizard allows even free users to upload files using an offline tool, no having to log into the site through your browser if you don’t want to.

matmoo_kParticipantit’s definitely boss for people who
a)can’t be bothered at paying…..(i gots a rapid share also……so i don’t mind paying). yeah you can only get one file at a time, but if it’s just a demo tune or a tutorial or something like that. it’s not a problem.
b)don’t mind ads if you getting something for free that is paid for by adverts. lol
c)is pretty easy to use too (i should probably mentioned that in my first post otg lol)

chriskimParticipantSendspace sucks because the file disappears after a certain length of time or number of downloads. Check out

well that it does. you can’t say it sucks because it deletes stuff if it ain’t being used. 14 days it stays up for after the llast time it was downloaded. it states that in the site faqs. it’s still useful though. ya’z cannae argue at free. sure there are better freebies out there.
this thread is going the right way though. adding new hosters on here is great. keeps the spirit of what i was going for when i started the thread
keep em coming folks. choice is nice

otgParticipantI dislike RapidShare as, if you’re not a subscriber, you have to wait x number of seconds before starting a download, and that time interval increases if you have more than one thing to download. Also, download speeds on RapidShare tend to be lower than on other file sharing sites.

jefpeaceParticipantyousendit is a great one. It’s the only one I’ve used that allows instant downloads and multiple downloads. Every other one mentioned here will only let you download one file at a time and most of ’em have a waiting period between downloads. I’m checking out tindeck now and will give ya’ props if it’s as good as or better thane sendspace.
