Need an ID.

So I don’t have a sample, I just remember it from memory. It’s a song from a few years ago that would be found getting played at like a high school dance. It had a slower tempo and a simple beat with a simple rich-sounding synth bassline that only played two notes like a half-step away from each other. I can’t remember the vocalist but for some reason I want to say Sean Paul or someone like that. Any ideas?
