DEVOParticipantHello everyone.
First time on the forum.
I’ve just downloaded the Must Starlight file as I need the high pitched backing over the chorus.
I’ve imported it into a Logic Pro production for some live gigs.
However, the track has the main vocal on, which I’ll be singing live. Can i strip this out?
Is there anyway to get just the high pitched bits on the chorus.
Any help would be appreciated.

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantHi Devo, welcome to the site.
Ive moved this to the forum I believe its best suited to.
Please read our , the guide to how ACAPELLAS4U works.Someone else may be able to provide other ideas, but the only thought I have is
using the phase inversion method.
(Please check out our tutorials to learn the theory behind this)The only chance you have of this being successful is if the part of the track which
has the harmonies shares an identical section of main vocal as a part of the track
with no harmony.
For example, if the section is a chorus, the producer may have re-used the best take
of the chorus and used it on every chorus. Then you have to hope the harmony is
not used on one of the choruses.
You would also benefit massively for sourcing the acapella on an original CD as
using lossy format encoded files (Mpeg, wmv etc) are less than ideal for phase
inversion. Its a lot of work, but it will keep you busy
