vice versesParticipantmost grime coming from the uk really gets reppetitive,… the beats are bad synth loops, and its basically just chanting the chorus at the end of each line,
SHIT!

The CutterParticipantI am probably going to get boo’d but as much as I like hip hop and I do. I’ve been listening to it since the early 80’s. When I was a wee lad I was a B Boy. I love break dancing.
But………… to me most if not all hip hop musically is way too repetitive. It’s not that hard to make changes between the verse and chorus etc. Also try using a transition every now and then.

Since you’ve been listening to it since the 80’s, you would know that Hip-Hop originated from a looped sample and therefore is repetitive and that’s its style. So yes you’re right about it being repetitive but also that’s the way it’s supposed to be
lolAlso being an (ex)B-Boy, you’ll know that’s where breakdancing got it’s name, at the break of the looped sample.
