The time’s right now for me as a producer to upgrade to a.n.other midi controller. Nothing wrong with mine apart from the f# key’s phucked below middle C.
I’ve been looking through my studiospares catalogue that was delivered last week and It’s a bit of a toss-up between 2 or 3 different controllers. Edirol, MAudio and can’t remember the 3rd one right now (hopefully it will come to me by the time I press Preview)
I do like the feel that a 49key full touch sensitive controller gives me.. one major thing the MK149’s lackign for me now though is the knobs and sliders… as I’m an Ableton Live man I really am looking for the new controller to be used with Live in so many weird and wonderful ways..
I’ve still not got shot of my old SbLive soundcard so again I would be considering one of those there Maudio Ozone things

The only thing I don’t like there is the size of it, do they do them in 49 keys? space isn’t a problem and I don’t like the pitchbend-mod wheel at the top either, preferred at far left alongside keys.
Thanks for your help – I look forward to seeing what you’ve got to say on this one.
Nearly forgot to say, I don’t have bottomless pockets so I think I’ll be looking to spend really a MAXIMUM of £150. I’d also consider importing from the States to save but the power supply issue is a bit of a pain then.
I was doing all my research [b:1cyy4rr1][/b:1cyy4rr1] to save some time.

snoblindParticipantThe OZone controller has a USB audio interface and it can be quite cranky at times.
If budget permits, you may wish to consider the M-Audio Ozonic:

Firewire audio interface is much better in my opinion.

fgp303ParticipantThis controllers have same problem low qulaity ones cos the keys are baggy ones, if u can play on piano or littlebit demanding u will not choose this ones….
Midiman keys the most worstest ones.
I can say one low-cost keyboard from roland called A-33 [url:sevm03k5]http://www.synthesisers.co.uk/A33.htm[/url:sevm03k5]
the a-33 have one trouble….. dont have assignable rotating-knob but u can play on this keys well.

I’m not after such a massive 76 synth such as that fgp303. I don’t really have room for anything bigger than I already have which is the 4 octave controller.. no knobs or sliders either
Anyone else here use midi controllers or is it just us 3 ?

acapellaKeymasterI lost out on this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? … RK:MEDW:IT
The winner got it for roughly £35 less than on Dolphin (UK site)
