Mr FletchParticipantSo after only being on these forums for a few days, I thought it best I show you my first piece of work.
This is a Drum and Bass track, with Michael Jackson’s "they dont care" acapella.
It is my first project after snapping up a copy of FL Studio 8 a few weeks back.
Please give constructive criticism, but please take into consideration that I am a complete Noob at this, and have no musical background

Or rip me apart lol (I’m an easy guy, I dont mind!

superduperjasperParticipantHi there Mr. Fletch,
i really liked your mix, that i made an edit. I’m more of a "poppy" dj and so i needed more lyrics and more of the original song.
This is what i did with your remix. Hope you like mine also.
Enjoy.

funkybeatsParticipantIt sounds like you have either A. EQ’d your bass bottom end to shit or just smacked up your bass gain. Do this.
Turn down your bass levels
Reset any eq on the bass and roll off all below 80Remove that reverb off the vocals and put something on it that doesn’t make it sound so weak and thin and use it after and/or before the drop. Your tune also needs a decent intro, something to build up towards the drop. Drums sound like they are a little drowned out by the bass and lack punch, snare could do with some compression and more smack, touch up the his on it a bit, break could do with some shuffle.
Can you send me the samples and I’ll lay something down for you so you can see a little more about the arrangement etc?

uptheirons106ParticipantNot bad. With a little work it could be a lot better, but overall pretty solid, especially for someone just getting into making tunes.
