otgParticipant=== PLEASE SEE LATER POST IN THIS TOPIC FOR THE COMPLETED VERSION ===
A little something I’m working on, spent about 2 hours on it so far…
The drums, percussion and bass are a 16 bar loop rendered from Reason, the vocals have been laid on the top in Acid Pro. There’s no effects on any of it at the moment, aside from a light reverb on the vocals, so all delays, stutters, etc are hand drawn.
What do you think so far? Is it worth continuing?
Cheers chaps.

djspyderb4everParticipantYeah man, keep going.
Love the baseline, it really drives the song.
Personally I hate Madonna, i think she is an anti-american troulbe making, biatch.
But your mix sounds pretty tight so far.

DJ LevantParticipantHey otg,
Like spyder, I’m not the biggest fan of Madonna but this mix is sounding great. Yes the bassline is really good, actually its quite deep (get it? sorry real bad pun)

Really promising mix – definately worth going on with this.

otgParticipantDone a couple more hours on it, basic structure’s there, need to sort out some of the vocal edits, the bassline needs more variation, and I’d better add something other than percussion and bass…

Jared4781Participantthe mix is pretty cool, but the bass/snare are a bit too bass heavy. it sounds really muffled in parts. A lot of the vocals are not on par with one another, some are muffled and soft and some are quite loud and upfront. I think a bit of EQing on this mix would do wonders for it. Good job over all.
