Where is there a list of all names that are registered in the copyright catolauge thing..? Im just wondering cause Im looking for a new name and want to know somewhere I can search to see if the names been used before… Im not gonna actually register this new name its just to have so that its unique..

As far as I know, you can’t “copyright” a name. You’d have to trademark it. You CAN, however, copyright the artistic direction of a name. Say for instance, if you paid someone to do a custom design of the name “DJ_Brady” in graffiti, you could possibly obtain a copyright for it (using form VA) depending on its concept, uniqueness, and distinctiveness.

Some people / companies go as far as trademarking a name, and then copyrighting its stylized, or artistic form.

In terms of trademarks, you can search online for existing trademarks by going to http://www.uspto.gov.
