WhitesockParticipantHere I am again asking a question that has been annoying me in regards to remixing. I load up the original track of the song I wish to remix and line up my tempo, but it seems every song I try to remix tends to go out of tempo (as in, it’s never 90 BPM or 85 BPM, but some obscure 81.24578 BPM, and even then it goes out of tempo still). Is this able to be worked around? I can’t seem to get my vocal tracks to line up ever, and after searching around it seems like no one else has this problem at all. Am I missing something?

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantSome tracks were not made in software or recorded to a metronome/ click so the speed will not be consistent.
In this case you have to manually adjust sections of the audio to make it all fit, techniques will vary depending on your software.
May be useful to get the basics.
And plenty of tutorials exist on Youtube etc.AdSense 336x280May 31, 2010 at 11:34 pm #679885
WhitesockParticipantWell every tutorial I can find ends their info at the tap tempo with the original. I’ll check the video you posted. The problem I have is also with metronome’d beats. I’m always just a little bit off.
I’m using FL also.

mighty atomParticipantSometimes it’s worth chopping the acapella into small sections (ie. 1 bar) and moving them slightly to help keep the timing tight, rather than just banging the acapella in as one whole segment.
