LEEDM101ParticipantWell I’m having a very productive week!
My second remix post this week is a bit of a risk. I know there are a lot of die hard ‘sis fans and just fans of this (classic) track so I’m prepared for a bit of erm… criticism.
Believe it or not this began as a D&B remix but as you will hear it has lost a little tempo! It’s now chilled, minimal and funky with a dash of vocoder. I still have plans for the D&B version though so watch this space
Anyway I hope you like it and SORRY Oasis fans

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantUnless i’m being dim I think you forgot the link
AdSense 336x280August 25, 2008 at 8:25 pm #655762
Reggie_p75ParticipantI checked this out b4 and thought..
Hmmm… I don’t want the forum to think I’m a dip5hit by asking where the link is, so I sneaked off n didn’t question it!
Nice to see someone else saw the lack of a link..
AdSense 336x280August 25, 2008 at 8:58 pm #655764
LEEDM101ParticipantD’oh! A link would help I reckon. Sorry! LOL
Have added one now…

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantHaha, I put a track up once, looked back a few weeks later and had over 150 views
and not 1 single b@st*rd thought to tell me I forgot the link!!
Easily done!
Anyways, back on topic, I dont think your gonna have to worry about haters, your
only worry is if Noel catches you he will kick your head in!
(Oasis get a bit touchy about this sort of thing!)
I thought this was a really good remix, happily took a break from my current project
and listened from start to finish.
Absolutely brilliant job.
I like the added touch of offering the instrumental. I was humming Kevin Little’s ‘Turn Me On’
over it.
I might even have a go if your not gonna be offended!
Theres been a bit of talk about collaborations here recently, maybe we should get the ball rolling?AdSense 336x280August 25, 2008 at 10:09 pm #655771
LEEDM101ParticipantThanks Chunky!
Your quite welcome to use the instrumental mix mate just let me hear the results. Cheers!

ryackyParticipantI was a huge fan of the original back in the day and I like your new twist on the track.

No worries, you def didn’t kill a classic. If anything, you breathed some new life into the track.

EuphonistryParticipantFound my way to your Blogspot site and gave a listen, but I couldn’t find this track.
Loved your rework of Depeche Mode’s "Broken Dreams".
The Royksopp "What Else Is There?" remix doesn’t seem to do much beyond add some extra percussion to an already cool song. End result sounds good, though.
The Peter Gabriel "Shock the Monkey" remix is a hoot. Sounds cool, and a dramatic break from the original.
Good, creative work. Going to listen to some more. Cheers.

coojuiceParticipantI had a look on your page using the link but couldn’t find it either???
I looked through the FM player too but couldn’t find it.
Where am I going wrong here! lol
Edit: Just found it! You need to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of the page. Doh!!!
Ok moment of truth from an Oasis fan…
I wasn’t sure at first as I didn’t like the intro with the sweeping synth sound but once the vocals kicked in then the percussion I actually quite enjoyed it. It’s not what I expected and I suppose this is why I like it. Very nice work there m8;)
My only niggle is that sweeping synth sound but it seems to keep the track flowing so I musn’t complain!
Keep up the great work.
Hope this helps;)

Thanks guys (well those who got to listen to it! LOL). You have to click on ‘older posts’ at the bottom of the page and it should be at the top of the page.
Euphonistry – Thanks for your comments. The Royksopp track is actually a mash-up using Booka Shade’s – White Rooms/ Royksopp’s – What else is there and Linkin Park provide the middle 8 so there is a little more to it. Maybe that’s a good thing you didn’t spot them as it means it’s pretty seamless

Hope the rest of you get to hear the Oasis mix and would really appreciate your comments good or (hopefully not) bad.
Cheers!
Lee
